Debuting at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show is the Numero 9 Concept from Citroën. It is a week+ till the car gets formally unveiled but thanks again to the internet, we can already have a look at it. The Numero 9 is intended to forecast the styling direction of three future DS models, all resting at the top of Citroën’s product line. The Numero 9 is a shooting-brake style plug-in hybrid designed in Paris. Other than mentioning adaptive all-wheel drive and engine start-stop technology we don’t know much more at this time about the technology included in the concept.
For now we have a collection of beautiful photographs and a video produced by longtime Citroën photographer Laurent Nivalle. As you can see, Nivalle shot the Numero 9 adjacent to a few Paris landmarks employing a style closer to a fashion spread. The video is very much a lifestyle piece where at times the car becomes more of a background element. There’s no confusing that Citroen sees the Numero 9 as a luxury vehicle.
