Invite For A Bite (IFAB) a site launched by Brit Cressida Howard, offers women traveling alone all around the world the possibility of dining together instead of supping alone. Business or pleasure travelers can create an invitation sharing where they are, when they are available and what type of food they would like to eat.

Many women enjoy traveling alone but most agree that dining solo makes them anxious. The new service is for those who are traveling through different cities or eager to find new friends in the city they live in.

Users can either create an invite or search for a suitable one. When creating an invitation the users can decide whether they would prefer to do something other than eating, such as a theatre trip or a hike in the mountains.

The site is meant for women only in order to avoid it becoming a traditional dating site.

Websites that encourage people to go online to meet offline are growing. IFAB has gathered users from all parts of the world, including invitations from Saint Albans, West Virginia, to ones from Addis Ababa.
