Chrysler’s Mopar division is offering the technology as an additional extra to enable you to charge your devices on the go.
Chrysler’s Mopar division is introducing in-vehicle wireless charging for the 2013 Dodge Dart, which will be available later this year. The seamlessly integrated charging accessory can be installed in front of the center console and has a built-in grid that activates when drivers place their battery-powered device on top of it.
It works with MP3 players, iPhones, Blackberry and Android devices, and begins to charge when the vehicle is started. A specially-designed case that fits a variety of smartphones is required and included with the accessory, which is available for $199.99 plus installation. Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, said:
At Mopar, we look for every single opportunity to make our customers’ lives easier. Our industry-first in-vehicle wireless charging system is the perfect solution for those connected customers who are always on the go.
