As part of the ‘Make with a Red Stripe’ campaign, street artist Filthy Luker created a large-scale Space Invaders installation that appeared on the Manchester Town Hall in the U.K. Filthy Luker transformed everyday traffic barriers into the iconic pieces of the retro arcade game. The pieces are wired with LED lights and at a push of a button gets the action under way.
Filthy Luker’s installation aims to raise awareness of the Red Stripe projects and encourage the public to create art using objects found on the streets. Watch the video below to see how the giant Space Invaders creation was put together:
