IKEA’s new line of TV’s – Uppleva will now offer a new function that will enable users to search and buy IKEA products in the comforts of their own homes. This built-in e-commerce platform will make commercials more interactive than ever before, and will be a great marketing and sales tool for IKEA and other businesses.
When users watch a commercial that supports the shopping system, they can simply order it with a push of a button on the remote control. The TV will launch a browser window, in which the users will enter payment and shipping information. Developed by a German company called Connept, there are still some details yet to be revealed when the Uppleva TV launches in Europe later this year.
