When Melissa Marks and Vicente Caride were renovating their Manhattan apartment, they asked licensed LEGO artist Sean Kenney to create something special for their son’s bedroom. The result was a sculptural staircase made up of 20,000 LEGO bricks in white, red, yellow, and blue. It was built on-site over two weeks and is 10 ft long, 9.5 ft tall and 6 ft wide.

This playful design makes the space unique and reflects the creative nature of the people living there. Kenney used a free-form process, designing color patterns, shapes, and densities together with the homeowners, who were very involved in the creative process.
