Korean designer Ha Lim Lee teamed up with graphic designer Youngduk Kim and director Woojin Kang to develop a new way of playing music. The ‘Barcode Band’ is a set of instruments that are printed on paper, which can be scanned to produce different sounds. Each barcode represents a specific instrument, such as the guitar, cymbal, or drum.

Users can sample sounds using the barcode scanner and compose music by looping the beats together. Watch the video below for a demonstration of the Barcode Band.
