Five Letters Pieced Together Spell & Form A Chair

Components from the alphabet spell out and create a furniture item.

Yi Chen

Designer Eric Ku redefined the concept of a chair in a literal sense. The Brookyln-based artist created the CHAIR/CHAIR, which has just five components that literally spell out the word ‘chair.’ When these five pieces are assembled, they construct a chair that can be sat on.The letter ‘C’ becomes the seat, ‘A’ is the back rest, while the letters ‘R’, ‘H’, and ‘I’ form the legs and the reinforcements.
