Our latest Future Of Retail Report looks at the trend of Fit With A Click. One manifestation of this trend can be seen in Oakley. The performance sunglasses brand has developed a mobile app, OakleyView, that helps shoppers find the right lens for their favorite outdoor activity. Users are able to test lenses in a variety of simulated conditions that are tied to activities ranging from driving to skiing.

Users begin by choosing from five different outdoor environments and two different weather conditions to see how each of Oakley’s 18 formulated lens tints would respond in that activity and environment. The application utilizes a number of the interactive features available on the iPhone and iPad, enabling users to tilt the screen to fully explore the panoramic landscapes and various lighting angles.
