Product designer James Siminoff realizes that sometimes convenience and charging don’t always go hand-in-hand, and it often leaves the user frustrated trying to look for a power outlet. Him and the team at the Edison Junior Design Laboratory, has come up with a simple solution that not only makes charging more accessible, but also aesthetically nicer to look at. The Portable Power (POP), is a rechargeable portable battery that can charge multiple devices simultaneously. It has retractable chord reels to keep everything neat and tidy.
What makes POP stand out from its competitors, is its powerful rechargeable battery. The 25,000 mAh battery can essentially charge up to 10 iPhones. The compact and portable device is perfect for charging Apple devices and Micro-USB devices. The sleek power unit also comes with two additional USB ports, and an LED indicator displaying its battery life.
The project has currently raised over $46,000 on Kickstarter and users interested in the device can simply pledge $149 or more to receive one in the mail by the end of the year.
