The View-Master is an iconic childhood toy that is able to turn pictures on a round paper slide, into 3-D images. Now, the Japanese company Sanwa is using the same principle to develop a much more high-tech stereoscopic. Instead of inserting paper slides, users can dock their iPhones to view 3-D videos.
The innovation is was developed especially for YouTube’s 3D channel, yt3D. But unlike the red-green glasses used to watch these clips, the Sanwa stereoscopic magnifies the video side-by-side to create bigger and brighter 3D viewing area.
