Bon Iver is engaging fans to bring them closer to their music, with a remix contest offering cash prizes and the chance to be featured on an exclusive Spotify album. Bon Iver has released individual audio stems (separate track for vocals, guitar, bass, drums, etc) from all ten of the songs off the band’s 2011 album, and is hosting a remix contest for each song on Indaba Music.

The Bon Iver, Bon Iver: Stems Project is set to result in “a complete fan-inspired recreation of the band’s critically acclaimed and most recent album through the art of remixing.” Fans have until the end of the month to upload their remixes and the winners will be announced in September, earning $1,000 for each song and a place for their track on the Bon Iver, Bon Iver: Stems Project remix album on Spotify.
