Audio Tour Hack provides an alternative perspective of the museum’s permanent modern art collection.
What constitues an expert in an area? Is it the amount of time they’ve spent in a particular area? Or could having a unique perspective be enough? Audio Tour Hack have tapped into this question by releasing a second museum guide (their 1st was Artobot at the Guggenheim). The guide provides the view points of children and how they see modern art.
The tactic is interesting because it positions kindergarden to 5th graders as modern art “experts” for their quirky and intuitive interpretations, all of which are free of the intellectualizing that can accompany art criticism. Check out the audio tracks for yourself by clicking here.
