In Defense Of Mariah Carey & An Electronic Music/Art Collective [PechaKucha]
The international design hub shares presentations on the pop sensation and a burgeoning Italian cultural association.
We’ll say this: there aren’t many people who are bigger fans of Mariah Carey than Tom McBride. In his presentation (from PKN Blue Mountains Vol. 1), he shares the enthusiasm and infectious passion he has for his biggest idol.
In this presentation (in Italian, from PKN Genoa Vol. 1) by Marco Cacciamani we learn about Duplex Ride, a cultural association founded in 2010 and interested in all forms of art, which mainly organizes events for electronic music and video projections. Duplex Ride is an idea in motion, it’s an art collective, electronic research, experimenting in all its forms, including painting, photography, and writing.
We now have full galleries of photos from last week’s PKN Tokyo Vol. 94 to share, which you’ll find on both Facebook and Flickr. All photos were taken by our regular photographer, Michael Holmes, along with his assistant Nomi.
We have three PKNs happening tonight (August 2): PKN Winter Harbor Vol. 6, PKN Springfield, IL Vol. 8, and PKN Victoria Vol. 10. Tomorrow you can look to these three cities: PKN Panjim Vol. 3, PKN Springfield, MO Vol. 7, and PKN Hakata Vol. 7.
