20 artists have customized an ANT chair for Jamie Oliver’s Better Food Foundation charity event, the BIG Chair Project.
Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant, the social enterprise that mentors young people and trains them for careers in the restaurant industry, is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, 20 top names in fashion, art and design have customized ANT chairs donated by the furniture brand Republic of Fritz Hansen for the BIG Chair Project. These are being auctioned off to raise funds for Jamie’s charity, the Better Food Foundation.
Paul Smith, Quentin Blake, Cath Kidston, Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, and Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, amongst others, have put their design on a chair. The collection has been revealed at Republic of Fritz Hansen’s London store and will be exhibited during the London Design Festival. Six will be available to win as part of a lottery, with tickets available to buy online, while the rest are being auctioned in October. Click through to see some of the unique designs:
