The ‘Street Quest’ game from Ogilvy Cape Town for Volkswagen in South Africa is a Facebook challenge that uses Google Street View and ‘pinning’ as a promotion tool.

Volkswagen's Facebook Challenge Invites People To 'Pin' Their Cars

Players compete to find and ‘pin’ as many VWs on South African roads as they can. The game is played over four weeks and each week the player with the most correct ‘pins’ earns a place in the final, which is a live playoff of Street Quest. The four finalists and their friends are flown to Cape Town, put up in the Crystal Towers hotel, given a Volkswagen with a single tank of petrol, and sent out on the streets to compete for the title of Street Quest Grand Champion and a R50,000 digital hamper including a MacBook Air, iPad, iPhone, and 46″ Samsung LED TV.
