Mercedes-Benz introduced its new SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive at the Paris Motor Show in a fitting electric blue color. The world’s most powerful electric car features four electric motors, which produce a combined output of 740Hp and a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds and its top speed is electronically limited to 155mph.
The battery-powered car has a maximum range of 155 miles and takes around three hours to recharge. All of this comes at a price, the electric vehicle has a hefty cost of around $540,000, more than twice the amount of the petrol engine-powered SLS AMG GT. It’s available for pre-order now and first deliveries will begin in July 2013.
