Creative Industry Hopeful Creates Bespoke Shoe Designs For Top Ad Execs

Art director Illi Ferandez has a unique approach to trying to get a job.

Chicago-based art director Illi Ferandez is “ready to get her foot in the door” with her Ad Kicks project. She is making customized shoes for top creative directors that match their personality. For example, the shoes for Tim Nolan (BBH Labs) are skate-inspired, as Tim is an avid skateboarder and Michael Boychuk’s (Leo Burnett) shoes draw inspiration from entries in his journals from his travels in the Ukraine and India.

There are also shoes designed for Kevin Flatt (Cramer-Krasselt) and Kevin Lynch (Energy BBDO/ Proximity). Ferandez writes: “Most shoes take you where you’re going, but these reflect where you’ve been”. Click through to see the custom-made footwear:
