David Blaine’s latest stunt is probably his most ‘electrifying’ one as he spent three days and three nights straight in the middle of one million volts of electric currents. The magician stood at Pier 54 on Manhattan’s West Side in New York City and the stunt, “Electrified: One Million Volts Always On,” was streamed on YouTube with the help from Intel Corp. Control stations were setup on the site and also in Beijing, Tokyo, Sydney and London where passers-by could electrify him as little or as much as they wanted.
Blaine stood between large Tesla coils and for protection, he wore a chained bodysuit, a wire helmet, visor, and noise-cancellation headphones. He was only given coconut water through a tube to suck on, and a catheter to urinate.
After the 72-hour ordeal, Blaine was able to walk with assistance, and even spoke and kissed his fiancée before being taken to the hospital to be examined. Watch the video below to see how the stunt was set up:
