English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding held the world’s first digital signing to promote her new album yesterday, ascribing physical characteristics to virtual content. For the online event, which took place live in a Google+ Hangout, her fans were invited to join the queue by filling out a form and be ready with any questions they wanted to ask Ellie.

After hanging out with the singer, they received their signed album cover for Halcyon. The digital signing coincided with the album’s release yesterday in the UK. Check out the video below to learn more about the event:
