Airbags can save your life, but they can also cause serious harm from their impact. Instead of putting people at more risk, this electric vehicle called iSAVE is covered with airbag-like cushions that absorb impacts.

Developed by Japanese company Humanix, which was formed by researchers from Hiroshima University, the three-wheel electric car protects those both inside and outside the vehicle. According to Oddity Central, its cushions, which are made of sponge and tent fabric, absorb shock and then spring back to their original form. The EV can travel up to 30 km on a single charge and and can be recharged from any standard electrical outlet. You can see it in action in the video below:
