No More Waiting In Lines, Order A Drink Straight From A Smartphone [Video]

San Francisco startup creates the Coaster app to streamline the order process in bars.

A startup in San Francisco has created the Coaster app that will make it more convenient for mobile users to order a drink at a bar. Instead of waiting around in line, users can browse the beverage selection and order a drink straight from the app. Once the drink is ready, the bartender can notify the patron via a push notification embedded with a unique code to ensure that drink goes into the hands of the right person.

Furthermore, the user can also pay directly using the app without having to fiddle around with cash or keep a tab running. The streamlined process makes a night out with friends more enjoyable without the hassles of waiting around and sorting out payments.

Coaster is currently only available in San Francisco in 15 different bars, including Public Works, Wish, Jones, Eve Lounge, Temple, and 111 Minna. There are plans to expand the service to other cities and bars. Check out the demonstration of the app in the video below thanks to TechCrunch:
