Can a smartphone be a genius? Will.i.am thinks so. His new i.am+ iPhone hardware is aimed at making the mobile device even smarter. The first product is a camera accessory that clips onto the iPhone and tranforms it from an 8 megapixel camera to a 14 megapixel camera.

The tech line will launch globally this Wednesday and Selfridges will be exclusively selling the products from early December. Apple has granted i.am+ a development licence to produce and sell the iPhone accessory, and those who purchase it will receive their own online profile. Will.i.am told The Daily Telegraph:

We have our own sensor and a better flash. You dock you phone into our device and it turns you smartphone into a genius-phone. We take over the camera.
