Intel promotes its Ultrabook with an interactive commercial break.
During this weekend’s ‘X Factor’ final, Intel is planning to edit and broadcast Christmas messages live, along with the Facebook profile image of the sender. To take part, viewers simply need to download and open the Shazam app when prompted, 10 seconds before the start of X Factor in the U.K.
By opening Shazam, users can personalize a Christmas message to a loved one and submit a Facebook image. The messages will be moderated, with a selection airing in the first ad break following the X Factor final. Alistair Kemp, Consumer Marketing Manager at Intel UK, commented that:
The Intel and ultrabook brands are all about the creative possibilities that our technology enables, so in offering viewers the chance to get involved and spread a bit of festive cheer, hopefully we’re giving them an experience they’ll value.
