Photographer and film professor Cy Kuckenbaker created a time-lapse and composite video that shows a day’s airport activity in 25 seconds. The footage was captured at San Diego International Airport on Black Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Kuckenbaker’s idea was inspired by the composite photo taken below by Ho-Yeol Ryu at Hannover Airport. The image involved layering various photo together in one to create this overwhelming effect.

Kuckenbaker explained how the project came about:
San Diego has an unusual flight path that brings the planes in low right over the center of the city and they have to drop rapidly behind a hill to make the runway. When I saw a composite still image on PetaPixel of every airplane that took off in a day from a European airport I started to wonder if I could do something similar with video.
