MINI partnered with SPCA in New Zealand to show just how smart dogs are. The car company built a MINI especially for this project that is adapted so that dogs can drive it. The team of four trainers picked out three SPCA dogs and went through rigorous training sessions to teach them how to drive.
So far, the practice runs have been quite successful as the dogs demonstrated their driving skills in a small go-kart version of the actual car. Viewers can tune into Campbell Live, New Zealand’s leading current affairs program, at 7 p.m. on December 10th to watch the world’s first driving dog.
