onefinestay offers the amenities of a hotel in someone else’s home.
Newly launched website, onefinestay, gives travelers the chance to stay in someone’s home and live like a local — whether it’s just for a few days, a week, of more than a month. The concept is similar to other vacation rental sites like Airbnb, 9flats, and Housetrip. onefinestay describes itself as an ‘unhotel’ where visitors can truly experience what a city has to offer through insights from locals.
Currently, the website offers apartments in London and New York. onefinestay also publishes its own curated magazine that is printed quarterly. The Guestbook magazine is left in renters’ homes for guests to take with them, and features content including interviews, illustrations, and photo-essays. The luxury travel magazine gives a personal touch to other services.
What else sets onefinestay apart from the likes of Airbnb, is that it provides a cleaning service to renters before guests arrive. The service ensures that the property is thoroughly cleaned, beds made, and even bathrooms stocked with mini, luxury toiletries. In addition, onefinestay offers a 24/7 concierge service to guests if there are any problems.
Along with the magazine, each guest will also receive personalized recommendations from the people who live in each dwelling. The list includes places to eat, things to do, and locations to head to that won’t be touristy. To ensure that guests enjoy a comfortable stay, each property is personally inspected by the company and meet certain criteria, for example location, uniqueness, and “wow” factor.
