Catmoji is an online portal for pictures and videos of cute felines, offering kitty lovers a place to share and connect with other likeminded individuals.
Everyone’s favorite Internet pets now have their own social network. Catmoji is a place where cat lovers can view pictures and videos of cats and connect with others who feel the same way about felines.
The Malaysian startup, founded by Matthew Phiong and Koekoe Loo, is on a mission to “make the Internet a better and happier place with cats.”
The community, or “catmunity,” lets people share and discover cat pictures and videos, expressing how they make you feel through ‘emojis’ like whether they are cute, funny, happy or sad. The interface is similar to Pinterest and features lots of large images of different felines doing all sorts of things, which you can ‘like’, comment on, or select expressions for.
The social network for cats also lets users create a “catvatar,” which is an avatar based on what type of cat you like that acts as your identity on Catmoji.
The founders told Betabeat that “Catmoji is a serious business. We want to be the online identity for cats, i.e. Facebook for cats.”
