The ABC of Architects video takes viewers on an animated tour of famous architects by assigning each letter of the alphabet to an individual and their best known building. The concept and animation was created by Andrea Stinga and Federico Gonzalez.
The creator’s note that a lot of famous names have unfortunately been left out because they only needed one for each letter and that they made an effort to include architects of different nationalities.
The alphabetical list goes from Alvar Aalto and the Säynätsalo Town Hall in Finland to Zaha Hadid and the Pierres Vives building in Montpellier, France. It also includes Frank Gehry and the Guggenheim in Spain, Oscar Niemeyer and the National Congress of Brazil, and Frank Lloyd Wright with the Guggenheim in New York.
