What tech trends will big business jump on in 2013? How will they innovate to move markets, and who will they do it with? PSFK sat down with executives and representatives from brands presenting at CES for a chat about what opportunities they are looking forward to in the new year.

In attendance were:

Torod Neptune, VP of Communications at Verizon Wireless
Bryan Rhoads, Editor-in-Chief of Intel iQ
Julius Marchwicki, Product Manager of Ford SYNC AppLink
Scott Sadler, Product Manager at Steelcase

Highlights from ther discussion:

1:55 – CES as a meeting of minds and we can see the convergence of hardware manufacturers and software developers.

7:52 – Solutions based on whole platforms allow new types of consumer value.

11:06 – How Verizon and Ford are working together.

13:32 – Gesture and eye tracking are the new ways to interact with computers.

14:00 – How effective, inspiring workplaces are closely tied to the use of video.

16:44 – Wearable computers are becoming mainstream, not just for ‘geeks’ anymore.

21:16 – Potential uses for all the data given off by our devices and trackers.

24:38 – Much more innovation is possible by inviting ‘outsiders’ to think together with corporations.

28:15 – The emergence of pervasive video compared to ‘light weight’ graphics and audio commands.

34:20 – Brands can’t go it alone anymore; partnerships are the way of the future.

Thank you to Think with Google for helping us host this exiting event.
