Columbus, Ohio-based Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams now offers a sorbet to fight influenza. The timing of the flavor is no coincidence, as flu season is in full-swing, Jeni offers this pint as a “flu-season fix.”

Containing cayenne pepper, ginger, Maker’s Mark bourbon, honey, and orange and lemon juices, this sorbet was inspired by Jeni’s mother’s and grandmother’s home remedy to treat family suffering from sickness, aches and pains. With it’s herbal, citrus, and alcoholic ingredients, the frozen dessert aims to clear nasal passages and help sore throats.
