The redesigned social network goes public with a focus on helping artists share their music with a larger audience.
As the frontman for the newly relaunched social network, it only makes sense that MySpace goes public after Justin Timberlake releases his new single ‘Suit & Tie’ (which is featured prominently on the site and can be listened to for free).
The new site will focus on helping artists share their music with a larger audience and makes it easy for anyone to repost songs they find from their profile.
An audio deck at the bottom of each page lets users play songs and add others to the queue, while the People tab enables you to connect with friends and artists.
Wired reports that the Discover section includes trending items like artists, users, and videos, as well as a prominent music-specific section with new albums and recommended artists. There is also a Mixes section for sharing playlists and a message stream for posting updates, photos, and music.
