Citydoping NYC is an iPhone app that hopes to take the ‘tourist traps’ out of visiting the city. Created by Joe Sayaman and Peter Cortez, the duo asked their ad industry friends to help them compile a list of the best dining, drinking, shopping, sleeping, and activity spots.

The app is laid out in a visually compelling way, enabling you to scroll through full color photos of the venues as well as read short pieces of information about what makes them stand out and why you should go there. The photos were shot by Kamil Krajewski, specifically for Citydoping NYC.

Ad Execs Create Insider's Guide App For NYC Hot Spots

The app is like an ‘insider’s guide’, built to help visitors feel like a local during their stay. It features over 100 restaurants, bars, shops, museums, parks, and other locations where NYC locals hang out. You can add venues to ‘favorites’ for easy viewing at a later time, quickly find places nearby and make your way there using the map view, or check out their website and get their phone number from the app. Check out Citydoping NYC in action in the video below:
