Expert designers of NYC street infrastructure discuss the inspiration behind their bus stops and benches.
Billings Jackson Design is an industrial design firm that helps shape people’s interactions with some of the largest cities in the world. From bus shelters to information kiosks, their work has a tangible impact on the feel and character of an urban space. Duncan Jackson and Eoin Billings spoke at the PSFK CONFERENCE 2011 on how they bridge the gap between architecture and manufacturing, and went into detail about the thinking behind their designs that are now common on the streets of NYC.
Eoin Billings will be speaking at the PSFK CONFERENCE 2013 about his partnership with City ID, a ‘wayfinding’ project for NYC to make neighborhoods more accessible to visitors and locals alike. Watch this talk from 2011 below to get familiar with his work.
We’re looking forward to Eoin’s updates at the PSFK CONFERENCE 2013 next month. See him and other thought leaders, business innovators and future forward creators April 12 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in NYC for a day of inspiration and actionable insights.
