Kickstarter co-founder Yancey Strickler spoke at PSFK CONFERENCE 2011 about how his seed funding platform Kickstarter has helped a number of creative projects come to life. He describes how the way that people responded to the first projects has changed the direction of the development of the site. Kickstarter, was the platform responsible for the success of m ss ng p eces co-founders’– and PSFK CONFERENCE 2013 speakers – Ari Kushnir and Scott Thrift‘s annual clock, and it currently showcases hundreds of projects across genres, from gaming to art.
On April 12, Ari and Scott will take the stage at our PSFK CONFERENCE 2013, to share the challenges they faced as they sought to create and promote an actual physical product, given their backgrounds in media production, and how they were able to use Kickstarter to achieve their goals. Watch Yancey’s talk from 2011 below to get a sense of how the platform came into being and was able to transform concepts such as Ari and Scott’s clock into realities.
We’re excited to hear what this year has in store for fellow creators at the PSFK CONFERENCE 2013 next month! See thought leaders, business innovators and future forward creators April 12 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in NYC for a day of inspiration and actionable insights.
