Brooks Brothers produced all of the men’s costumes in Baz Luhrmann’s film adaptation of The Great Gatsby, from the designs of the award-winning costume designer Catherine Martin. F. Scott Fitzgerald was a lifelong Brooks Brothers customer, making the clothier a perfect partner for the filmmakers in this authentic collaboration.

Most of the men’s costumes were inspired by images and products from the company’s archives. This added a period-specific authenticity to the film and helped bring the masterpiece to life.

Brooks Brothers has also adapted the costumes to create a special collection, available both in-store and online, that allows consumers to dress like the characters played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire in the film. The collection features formalwear and daywear, with tuxedos, suits, shirts, shoes, ties, and other accessories.

The film’s Art Deco-style logo is sewn into each tag, along with an old Brooks Brothers logo from the company’s archives. A dedicated section of their website includes lookbook images and an in-depth look at the collaboration.
