If you’re a chocolate fiend and proud, you’ll be happy to hear the first chocolate hotel will be opening in the UK this year. The Chocolate Boutique Hotel is a family run business based in Bournemouth that has 13 cocoa-themed rooms, with chocolate fountains, cocktails and cooking classes being just some of the highlights.

A typical stay at the hotel involves checking out the kitchen and taking part in a cooking workshop on your arrival. To get your juices flowing – gastronomically and creatively – guests are encouraged to paint a portrait using dark, white and milk chocolate. The afternoon offers up a martini of the chocolate variety, along with the usual alcohol offerings. If you think you can handle even more chocolate after the day is done, the hotel can sneak a midnight snack up to your room as well, just to top it all off.
