Digital Polaroid Camera Looks Like The Old School Model
Hammacher Schlemmer has introduced a 14 megapixel, instant print device that includes new features like in-camera cropping.
A new 14 megapixel digital camera developed by Polaroid is available from Hammacher Schlemmer. It can shoot and print color photos with an integrated printer, producing 3″x4″ snapshots with the familiar white border.
While Polaroid has released other digital instant print models in the past, this is an opportunity to combine contemporary with classic and capitalize on the retro appeal of the brand.
The photos are printed in under a minute, without any messy ink cartridges. Beforehand, they can be viewed and cropped on the 2.7″ color LCD screen. Patented paper embedded with colored dye crystals ensures the prints are smudge- and tear-proof, fade- and water-resistant.
The compact camera also has a 4X optical zoom, can shoot video with audio and save files to an SD memory card. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery prints 25 photos on a full charge and recharges in two hours with its AC adapter. It retails for $299.95.
