Food choices are spelled out in detailed embroidery depicting food from various regions.

Leah Gonzalez

Design company Maricor/Maricar created an array of typography in embroidered food for Hong Kong Airport. The embroidery, design and illustration company embroidered the word DELICIOUS in six different languages. Each version was spelled out with food from various regions. The English version, for example, is spelled out with tacos, hotdogs, and French fries.

The typography project is a refreshing break from the usual photos and plastic signs that are seen so often at many airport food courts. Click through the images below to see more examples of the innovative signage.
