The men’s grooming brand encourages people to ‘smell the internet.’
The marketing folks at Old Spice are at it again. Early this month the men’s grooming brand rolled out Old Spice soap ads that parody 1980’s TV jingles. And now, the latest in their slew of quirky campaigns are scratch ‘n sniff internet banner ads.
The ads were featured over at the sports section of The Onion and are part of the brand’s campaign for their Wolfthorn line of products.
Of course, clicking on the banner ads doesn’t release smells, but it takes curious folks to a sign up form where interested visitors will need to fill in their mailing address so they can ‘smell the internet.’ Old Spice will send the scratch ‘n sniff banner to their house.
