Virgin Offers In-Flight Dating Service

Richard Branson gives passengers a new way to break the ice by anonymously buying others a drink in the air.

Breaking the ice on an airplane is not an easy thing to do – but Richard Branson may have made things easier with a new in-flight feature when flying Virgin Atlantic. The new feature allows you to anonymously send a drink, snack or even meal to another passenger.

If the anonymous gift goes down well, you can also use the seat-to-seat messaging system to send the other person a text. So thanks to the rather bizarre innovation of Mr Branson, now you might be able to leave one country single and arrive in another with a date already lined up – not a bad way to travel.
