Immersive Pods Transport Viewers Into Alternate Environments
Danielle Tay creates dome structures with varying interiors.
PODS is an immersive art installation by Singaporean artist Danielle Tay. The installation consisted of several half-dome structures with different interiors that provided different kinds of environment to visitors. Some of the half-dome structures allowed people to crawl inside while others were like canopies suspended from the ceiling.
Tay is currently a student at Slade School of Fine Arts. She received her Diploma in Fine Arts at Lasalle College of Arts.
The installation was showcased last January at the Art Experiment 2013 show at the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Moscow, Russia.
