Snapcat is the first social photo sharing platform that lets your kitty take photos.

If you’re cat-obsessed, here’s some good news. Your feline now has the ability to take its own selfie with new specially-designed app. Named Snapcat, (like the wildly popular Snapchat), the app displays a red dot on a black background on your phone screen so when a cat touches its paw down on the dot, the device will capture a photo which can then be shared to Facebook, Twitter, or EyeEm. The app was developed in 24 hours as part of EyeEm’s Photo Hack Day in Berlin earlier this month, and is available only for Android phone users.

Like Instagram, the image can be altered with filters or stickers that add mice, flowers, or even more cats to the selfie. The idea may be silly, but there are an astoundingly large number of apps already featuring cats or superimposing cats into photos. Let your furry friend channel its inner vanity with Snapcat for Android.
