GamePop is a console and subscription service that allows users to play Apple's mobile games on a television.

Startup company BlueStacks is releasing an Android-powered console that allows people to play mobile games on their TVs. GamePop can run not only games written for Android, but also games that are played on Apple phones and tablets through a virtualization process that the company calls LookingGlass.

GamePop is a subscription service similar to Netflix and offers 500 top Android and iOS mobile games to its subscribers.

The console is still in development and is being targeted for release in the winter. The company offered the console and controller for free to those who pre-order by June. GamePop’s service will then be available for $6.99 per month.
