The first in-store atelier at its Soho location in NYC showcases the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship.
Louis Vuitton has opened its first in-store atelier at its Soho location in NYC, located in the space next to the store’s travel accessories room. To showcase the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship, artisans are handpainting shoppers’ initials onto bags and hot-stamping leather goods.
ILVOELV reports that it exudes the feel of a workshop, with its brick walls, cast iron columns, and antique furniture from Parisian flea markets. There shoppers can experience the brand’s renowned “savoir-faire” first hand.
They can watch specialized artisans personalizing the iconic trunks with hand painting, hot stamping leather goods, performing repairs, and highlighting the expert techniques and exceptional materials employed at Louis Vuitton’s European ateliers.
