Lambert Kamp designed a line of chairs and stools inspired by the growing rate of overweight people.

Dutch designer Lambert Kamp created a line of furniture that, as written on the designer’s website, was “inspired by the rise of obesity in the Western consumer society.”

Bluntly called Fat Furniture, the line is a collection of chairs, stools and ottoman that are overly-padded and bursting at the seams.

The different-colored pieces look soft and comfortable, but it’s easy to see that the material covering the furniture seems to be stretched to its limits and the extra stuffing make most of the pieces seem lumpy and unbalanced.
