The Philips Innovation Fellows Competition asks people around the country to submit ideas that will help others live well, be healthy, and enjoy life. The participants will run crowdfunding campaigns for their ideas on Indiegogo, and the judges will choose the ultimate recipients of the $100,000 in prize money.

The competition will recognize the best products, services and tangible ideas. Interested participants can register now and once their registration has been confirmed by Philips, they can begin building their pitch on Indiegogo, which will go live on August 15th.

Philips’ Crowdsourced Competition To Help People Live Healthier

In October, Philips will announce five finalists before the ultimate grand-prize winner is selected. The winner will receive a $60,000 cash prize, plus an all-expenses-paid trip to Philips’ U.S. headquarters to meet with executives and relevant business leaders. The other four finalists will each receive a $10,000 cash prize. Greg Sebasky, Chairman of Philips North America, said:

Philips is committed to meaningful innovation, and we strive to transform and enrich people’s lives to help them reach each life milestone in healthy, fulfilling ways. Philips is always looking for the ‘next big thing’ and we want to broaden our reach and celebrate great ideas that have the potential to revolutionize the way we live. We invite all innovators to share their ideas and to help us in our search.
