If you’ve been looking for somewhere to stay that offers more than just accommodation – Urban Campsite in Amsterdam could be just what you’re looking for. Offering the chance to spend a night inside pieces of art – it certainly makes for a unique night’s sleep.

Envisioned by designers Annette Van Driel and Francis Nijenhuis, the site is a collection of temporary art pieces, created by contemporary industrial designers, and available to rent for the general public.

Located at the Vliegenbos campsite in Amsterdam, visitors can rent an artwork from August 16 until September 30, 2013.

Apart from offering a place to sleep and admire in equal measure, Urban Campsite has a picnic spot in front of each accommodation, along with a place to build campfires, put up hammocks and relax in wood-fired saunas.

To top things off, the site will continue to evolve over time, temporary photo exhibitions will be shown on the grounds, one of the fields will be arranged as a sculpture garden, and the terrain’s decoration will be changed regularly.
