The social news site just got easier to use thanks to this easy to make browsing tool.

Reddit is the perfect place to spend time if you’re intent on avoiding a growing to-do list. William Wnekowicz knows that people can spend all day on the social news site – so he created the Karma Controller, giving people a way to procrastinate more efficiently.

Rectangular in shape, with only a few buttons on it, the controller looks a lot like a retro Nintendo controller. As for the name, it comes from Reddit’s term for the points received when others like your comments.

Built with a DigiSpark — a small Arduino-compatible board — the controller provides all the functions you need for laid-back browsing. There is a button for moving up and down, toggling an image, opening comments in a new tab, closing a tab, and of course, upvoting and downvoting.

The controller works via USB, thanks to the DigiSpark, and is compatible with Reddit Enhancement Suite, a browser add-on that makes interacting with Reddit much more intuitive.

Before you can sit back and relax with a faster way to browse Reddit, you should probably know that the controller does require some assembly – consider it a chance to learn more about Arduino and soldering.
