Female Condom Dress Makes Birth Control Fashionable [Pics]
To raise awareness PATH held a fashion show of outfits made from this type of protection.
Although the female condom has been around for 20 years, it still isn’t as popular as the male equivalent. To raise awareness of this lesser-known type of protection, global health organization PATH launched their woman’s condom project and, last year, even held a show featuring the female condom as wearable fashion.
The fashion show was held during the first Global Female Condom Day in September last year. The organization invited Seattle residents to design and create outfits made out of female condoms.
The fashion show was a project by members of PATH’s Woman’s Condom project, members of Planned Parenthood, the National Organization for Women Seattle Chapter, and NARAL Pro-Choice Washington.
